How to get more customer engagement on your Facebook Business page at no cost.

There's no better way to reach your customers online for free than through social media. With more people spending their time online everyday social is the place to be, and if that's where your customers are, -you definitely got to be there.
But did you know that there's more Facebook for a business than just creating an account and posting random posts about your business, products and services?

Look at it this way; social media is a place to socialize. It doesn't hurt posting some serious stuff about your business every once in a while, or promoting that special offer.., or the discount. But, don't be too formal.

Okay, businesses are not the same. But, put yourself in your customer's position. What do you use Facebook for? I expect your answer isn't to find new goods to shop, or to see the latest ad by your favorite shop.

We all expect social media to be a place to connect, socialize, have fun and learn new things. Unlike your business website that is more formal and focused on selling, a social media page should be about building deeper connections with your customers and clients.

Nobody likes those posts asking them to buy this or that everytime! Guess what? Your customers probably don't need that product anyway (at least not yet).

If you want to see more engagement on your Facebook posts, find ways of providing value to the customer. Instead of styling a post about a deodorant like a direct promotion " ABC deodorant just in Buy Now!" Try something more casual " ABC deodorant is special from other deodorants in this and that way, it is also more concentrated and comes at a cheaper price. Find it at our store."

The above examples are basically saying the same thing, but the second one comes off like a recommendation unlike the first one that is a straight out ad (" ABC deodorant just in Buy Now!") I can almost hear your followers asking "who said I wanted a deodorant mff!"

Remember, people follow your business because they like you and find you relevant. The best way to lose your relevance is by sharing too much promotional content. Nobody likes the feeling of being sold to, if you have to promote a product or service, try converting it to a review or suggestion, that way you stand a better chance of selling more and getting more likes.

Or.. Take advantage of the WhatsApp catalogue and the Facebook marketplace.

There is a time and place for everything, even on social media! Okay, I said no spammy posts on the business page, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't sell. 👎🏾 It just depends on where.
Like most social media platforms, Facebook has a Catalogue option for businesses and professional accounts, take advantage of the Facebook marketplace to showcase your products on your page.

With the Facebook marketplace, you can have your store's products appearing on a special slot above the posts. This will make them more visible to anyone visiting your page.

Catalogues and marketplaces are better if you don't have the liberty to create an online store, and they work just as fine.
Always remember, when it comes to social media, the best way to sell is by not selling directly.
